Purpose and Effect of these Mantras.
''ജന്മാന്തര കൃതം പാപം വ്യാധി രൂപേണ ജായതേ -- Janmaantara krtham paapam vyaadhi roopena jaayate'' is the dictum of the scriptures, regarding the incidence of illness in human beings. That is to say, the sins of our previous births appear as diseases to our body, mind and intellect. This is an inevitable law of the creator, which cannot be avoided on any account .But the intensity of illness can be reduced , the use of medicines can be made more effective and the cure of diseases can be speeded up by regular recital of these Mantras with devotion and faith.

We often hear people say when something untoward happen to them why such a thing has happened to them...as they have never done anything wrong to others. The unfolding of 'punya' and 'papa'accounts for the pleasant and unpleasant things in life.Once we realize this truth we will stop blaming 'others' for our problems and learn to face the challenges of life with equanimity.
Geeta.
