WHY DO WE WORSHIP DIFFERENT GODS AND GODDESSES?

There is a gross misconception that Hindus have many Gods and Goddesses. But the Truth is that a Hindu who understands his religion properly, worships only one God. Hinduism teaches that God is the the Ultimate Reality and that is the only one existence, which is spoken of by different people in  different ways, attributing  different names and forms. One who has realised this truth does not go after any particular name or form of God , but keeps himself engaged  in the thoughts of  the one and only God  and in the service of  the various beings in God's creation
The great seers of the past had attributed different forms and names for  God because they knew that the tendencies and tastes  of people vary from person to person. So each  person should  be allowed the opportunity to  worship God by the name and form which appeals to him most.  That is how different forms of God are worshiped in Hinduism. That is the very reason why there are different religions, who worship the one and only God in different names or forms. .
There is, therefore, no necessity for different religions or different sects of the same religion to quarrel in the name of God.
Those who quarrel or take to violence and massacre of innocent people, in the name of God or religious faith are not serving God, but insulting Him.

SPIRITUAL SADHANA

One who engages himself in Spiritual Sadhana should understand the val ue of time.  Never waste time in enjoying the beauty of your own body by looking into a mirror. What  should be enjoyed is the beauty of your heart and mind. Enjoyment of the beauty of your own body or that of the bodies of others will only increase your desire for enjoying carnal pleasures.
Life as a house-holder is not a hindrance to  Sadhana. Never look upon yor wife as an object for enjoying worldly pleasures . Our scripures describe the wife as Dharma Patni. (wife who supports a righteous living) . Co-habitation with a wife with noble qualities is not a carnal relationship. It is a holy union of two souls. A man who gets such a wife is the most fortunate man on earth. He should thank God for granting this fortune.
Man or woman alone cannot progress in the path of spirituality. Their  Sadhana should be mutually complimentary.  Where the husband and wife lead a pure spiritual life, God incarnates in their home as their son.

WE MUST SEE GOD EVERYWHERE AND IN EVERYTHING

The Blessed Lord said:-
Yo maam pashyati sarvatra sarvam cha mayi pashyati,
Thasyaaham na pranashyaami sa cha me na pranashyati.
                       (Bhagavad Gita:Chapter 6, Stanza 30)
He who can see Me everywhere, and see everything within Me, for him I am always with him and he is always with Me. We do not part with each other.
